I am Astrid, a landscape painter you will find walking and painting, in most weathers, around the glens and remote areas of Scotland. This Plein-Air approach has challenges, not just the wind and rain but the midges and constantly changing light.

These challenges excite me, using oils I capture the spirit of these wild places. When the conditions are overwhelming, I head to my Dundee studio, where memories, sketches and experiences combine creating paintings reminiscent of place.
