A wee story about a painting called Precursor.

This wee oil painting was almost just a quick sketch to tune my eyes in on a windy day in Sheildaig, later to be painted over.

To shelter from the wind, I had tucked in behind a bush and fence, with the view being restricted, I decided to paint this wee one before starting on the big sister.

Months later, JF chose to take Precursor off the wall to practise his framing skills before it was delivered to Frames Gallery.

It was here that the next chapter of this painting's life begins, in fact, starts. Paintings are meant to live on walls loved by those around them who possibly hadn't planned to buy a painting but can't stop thinking about it, as was the case here. And 'Precursor' has been renamed in this process - she "sang me a song" now isn't that a beautiful title?

Ps. What a new owner may not realise is just how much that means to the artist - and what a buzz!!
